Meet the Zebedee Team

Graham spent 30 years in the printing industry before moving into driving education, where he found a passion for teaching the youth and supporting them to become safer drivers. Graham strives to be the best driving educator in Christchurch and not just “another driving instructor.”

Graham has developed a vast knowledge of driver training from working in the industry since 2016, teaching the requirements to support students to overcome a range of obstacles and challenges within their learning/driving as well as the test requirements and process.

Graham continues to build on his driving skills and knowledge with professional development through NZIDE and the IAM driver training programme.

Paul spent over 30 years in aviation engineering before transitioning into driver education in 2019. He had 5 years’ experience providing driving lessons, both in manual and automatic cars as well as using a driving simulator before joining the Zebedee team in 2024.

Paul has made a wonderful addition to the team as a patient, encouraging and thorough driving educator, ensuring that each learner feels confident and well-prepared for the road.

Paul’s passion for teaching and commitment to fostering safe driving habits are evident in his detailed and methodical instruction style. Paul strives to be more than just a driving instructor; he aims to be a mentor to his students, helping them navigate the challenges of learning to drive with confidence and competence.

Having spent over 40 years as a paid professional firefighter driver, Keys is well-versed in driving under many situations. He has also seen the consequences of driving errors, and with that experience comes the patience and calmness that greatly assist with teaching new learners.

As a father of four, Keys has taught each of his children as well as several others. He recently engaged Zebedee to help with the final touches for his last son's driving skills. Graham was so impressed with Keys' teaching skills that he offered him a position as part of the Zebedee team. Several months passed while Keys obtained his "I" endorsement on Class 1 to Class 6 licenses.

Keys looks forward to helping many driving students obtain the freedom and self-confidence that come with the responsibility of driving.

Peter attended school and university in Christchurch. After graduating, he worked in several jobs over many years while raising two children with wife Alida. Over this time, he was a primary and intermediate school teacher before branching into tourism - combining his educational instincts with good geographic knowledge and a love of driving to guide tourists around New Zealand.

He enjoys teaching one-on-one, and with all of his driving experience it was a natural decision to teach others to drive. He prides himself on being positive and encouraging and is pleased that students compliment him on being unruffled as he drives with them. He especially shares their pleasure when they pass their driving tests!

Collette also works on the accounts, advertising and providing information to our students via a range of mediums, such as email, phone, and social media.

Collette has a diploma of teaching and has had 12 years of teaching and administration experience before becoming a part of the Zebedee Driving School team.
